our story

Covn started as an idea in 2018 by Founder Rebecca Rampersaud. The idea was simple enough: creating beautiful dresses customizable in style and most importantly size. She witnessed her friends struggle to find anything off the rack that works. At the same time she working as a creative director helping build other people’s businesses after leaving the fashion industry which left her burnt out. Frustrated at the lack of innovation and seeing fashion brands big and small not center themselves around sustainability she strode to create a different fashion brand from the ones she worked at. A Fashion brand that made women feel good, that cared about sustainability and their environmental impact, that invested in their garments from every step of the process from thoughtful design to partnering with ethical manufacturing, a brand that utilized the innovative fashion-tech that was out there to make a better shopping experience. 

It took 5 years, a Masters degree, and moving country for that idea to come to fruition. We present Covn. We see the future of the fashion industry as one that incorporates innovative technologies working with global partners to deliver a personalized shopping experience to every consumer. We hope to grow with the industry towards a brighter more sustainable future.
